“The Center became my home; it’s where I studied, cried, laughed, and felt safe. It’s where I met my chosen family, where Cynthia reminded me I mattered, and where I learned to take pride in who I am.”
“As an alumni, I envy current students as I did not have a center to belong to or build community. I didn’t have access to the MURC during my time at SDSU, but witnessing its grand opening reminded me of all the students who would finally have what I didn’t: a support system, a home, and staff leading the way!”
“It is more than a place, it’s the reason I found my voice, my community, and my strength as a student; it gave me the confidence, respect, and unconditional support.”
“The MURC has always opened its doors to me and my wife with kindness and care. I was never turned away, and every time I needed help. I received guidance, respect, and unconditional support.”
